Artist Statement
Sweeping Into Each Other begins its first movement softly. It emphasizes flow as the dancers lilt and float across the stage to the delicate piano score. All at once, two dancers impact into one another and the piano is discarded as syncopated drums take over and splashes of red and pink punctate the blue and green world they have been inhabiting. This itself transforms into the final movement which proves to be a still livelier world. It continues to evolve with the dancers as they harness and synthesize chaotic energy into their actions.
